Shots were fired after the Sûreté du Québec responded to a call about a break-in at a car dealership in Ste-Sophie on Sunday.
Police received the call at around 7 p.m. When they arrived at the dealership on Ste-Sophie Blvd., a suspect drove his car into the police patrol vehicle, and at least one gun was reportedly fired.
A police officer and the arrested suspect were transported to hospital for preventative measures, according to the SQ. No injuries have been reported.
The SQ’s major crimes department is investigating the incident.
