Sam Faiers’ boyfriend Paul Knightley confesses he hasn’t read her baby book in awkward scene on The Mummy Diaries
SAM Faiers was shocked on the first episode of The Mummy Diaries when boyfriend Paul Knightley admitted he hadn’t read her new book.
The ITVBe series returned on Wednesday night, following the antics of the former Towie star and her family, which includes her adorable one-year-old son with Paul, baby Paul.
A lot of the first episode focused on Sam embarking on a nationwide book tour to promote her autobiography, My Baby and Me.
While her boyfriend and son accompanied her, one awkward scene saw Paul admit he hadn’t actually made it past the front cover.
Asked if he was proud of her, Paul replied: “Very”.
But when she followed it up by asking if he had read it, he sheepishly said: “No”.
In a chat to camera, he added: “I’ve read the front cover”.

As Sam pulled a face next to him, he said: “I haven’t read it, and…”
Sam interrupted saying: “You don’t plan on reading it?” to which he replied: “I doubt it”. Ouch.
The mother-of-one then told him she had wrote some “really nice stuff” about him in the book.
She said: “Like what an amazing dad you are, what you do, what your jobs are and my jobs.
“When we first met, when I was pregnant…”
Paul seemed quite pleased by her comments and said: “I’ve changed my mind, I haven’t read it yet but I’m going to read it.”
The pair shared a laugh about it so Sam clearly wasn’t upset with her other half for not reading her efforts.
The episode was also dominated by more footage of their adorable son baby Paul, as he started to take his first steps.
It also gave viewers a look into his sweet relationship with cousin Nelly.
And fans found him utterly adorable.
One commented: “Baby Paul is the cutest! #mummydiaries @SamanthaFaiers.”
Another agreed: “@SamanthaFaiers you should be SO proud of baby Paul – what a well behaved beautiful baby #mummydiaries.”
A third tweeted: “So obsessed with Baby Paul @SamanthaFaiers he is perfect! #mummydiaries.”
