Victoria Beckham registers her daughter Harper’s name as a trademark at age FIVE… just like her three brothers

HARPER Beckham’s name has been registered as a trademark by parents David and Victoria, despite her being only five.

The girl will now be able to enjoy a lucrative career using her name as a brand for products including toys, make-up and clothes.

The trademark has also been registered for use in the entertainment industry in case she chooses to follow in her mum’s footsteps as she gets older.

Sons Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 12, are also officially part of Brand Beckham, having had their names signed up to the UK’s Intellectual Property Office.

David, 41, registered his own name in 2000 while Victoria, 42 trademarked hers in 2002.

Both stars were then at the height of their football and pop careers, but experts say they are now “future-proofing” their children.

Oliver Bray, of international law firm RPC, said: “It normally happens when your career is getting going and a lawyer says, ‘Let’s get some protection in place’. As opposed to the future-proofing, which is what Victoria has done with her children.

“It’s a sign of the times with social media and the whole way in which celebrities are exploited.”

Brand expert Nigel Currie last night told the Daily Mail: “Obviously the Beckham name is worth something and they don’t want someone trading off it and using it to create their own brand.”
