Rochelle’s four-day stint on the show will be the first time the singer-turned-TV-presenter will have hosted a show alone, after becoming a much-loved face on a string of ITV favourites.

This includes a guest spot on This Morning with her husband Marvin Humes, Ninja Warrior UK alongside Chris Kamara and Ben Shepherd and the 2015 series of The Xtra Factor alongside radio DJ Melvin Odoom.

Speaking of her new solo role, Rochelle said: “I am so excited to be covering for Lorraine while she is off on holiday, Lorraine is one of my favourite shows and it’s a real honour that I have been asked to look after things for a week, I can’t wait to get started!”

During her week as the leading lady of daytime TV, Rochelle will be covering overnight showbiz news and summer food with Dean Edwards, James Tanner and John Whaite.

She will also talk to Hollywood A-listers Zac Efron about his new film Baywatch, will chat to singer Beth Ditto, and talk about the upcoming Orange is the New Black series with Laverne Cox.

As well as this, a series of Britain's Got Talent hopefuls will also be dropping by, and she will be getting some helpful hints on how to get through the week by fellow presenters Sheree Murphy and Jane McDonald.

On top of this Mark Heyes will share his best fashion buys from the high street looking at occasion wear and Dr Hilary will front the Pulse.

Rochelle reunited with her Saturdays bandmates for the first time in three years this week

The announcement comes just days after Rochelle reunited with her Saturdays bandmates for the first time in years to celebrate Mollie King's 30th birthday.

The five-piece - completed by Frankie Bridge, Una Healy and Vanessa White - joined their pals for a night out three years after the band went on a 'hiatus' they are yet to reform from.

Rochelle is no stranger to the show - but will be sitting in the hosts seat this time!

Vanessa, 27, did a Geri Halliwell last month as she announced she was officially quitting the band, zapping any hope of a full five-piece band reunion in the future.

The others haven’t ruled out reuniting to make more tunes though they’re all trying to make their solo careers take off.
