Schoolgirl, 11, causes Twitter meltdown with cheeky note to her teacher accusing them of breaking the ‘1949 Geneva Convention’

A CHEEKY 11-year-old girl has accused her teachers of “a war crime” for punishing the whole class for the actions of a few students.

Young Ava was catapulted to fame on Twitter when she claimed her teachers were breaking the 1949 Geneva Convention with their disciplinary actions in class.

In her cheeky feedback to the question “things my teacher(s) can do better”, the young girl wrote: “Not use collective punishment as it is not fair on the many people who did nothing and under the 1949 Genva (sic) Conventions it is a war crime”.

Her amused father, author Mason Cross, shared the young girl’s reply on Twitter, remarking: “My daughter actually submitted this feedback at school. Not sure if I should ground her or buy her ice cream…”

He later wrote: “I should clarify that she thinks her teacher is awesome – it’s just this aspect of the educational justice system she has an issue with.”

The Carter Blake thriller author noted that while his daughter’s feedback had been solicited, her reply was “cheeky”.

After being inundated with replies to his tweet, Mr Cross admitted on the social media platform that there was a consensus that the young girl should be rewarded with ice cream for her feedback.

She was just hours later pictured clutching two ice cream cones, beaming for the camera.

According to the Geneva Conventions’ Common Article 3: “Persons taking no active part in the hostilities, including members of armed forces who have laid down their arms and those placed ‘hors de combat’ by sickness, wounds, detention, or any other cause, shall in all circumstances be treated humanely”.

Thousands shared the photograph of the student’s feedback form, with some calling for the student to become Prime Minister.

But her dad quickly shut down the idea, saying: “she has actually considered it, but already decided it would be too much hassle”.

One impressed commenter wrote: “Buy her ice cream for the full school year …”

Another added: “I’m game to crowdfund her entire year’s ice cream needs tbh.”

A third then joined in: “I’ll donate too!!!”
