A reader defends the use of microtransactions and cosmetic content in modern games, even though he admits he rarely uses them.

I’m going to open myself up to a lot of abuse here but I believe developers/publishers are well within their rights to add microtransactions/season passes/locked content to their games. I’m not a fan of them by any means, and rarely do I purchase any, but I’d like to lay out my argument for why we can’t really complain about them.
