Draymond Green takes Boston’s Kelly Olynyk, Lonzo Ball’s $495 shoe to task

Draymond Green returns to the podcast world with a new episode of Uninterrupted’s Dray Day. We got a quick one in during the off-day in Salt Lake City, taking advantage of the break the Warriors got from a 3-0 lead in the series.

Green was back at throwing barbs. He had words for Boston big man Kelly Olynyk after his run-in with Washington swingman Kelly Oubre ended up getting Oubre suspended.

Outside of the Bay Area, Green is known as a dirty player for kicking other players when he flails trying to draw a foul. But he said Olynyk takes it to another level.

“Kelly Olynyk is a dirty player, man,” Green said on Dray Day. “He’s dirty. Dirty player, man. I don’t respect guys like that. I mean, I know he’s not like the greatest basketball player of all time, so maybe you feel like you got to like do that, but you don’t like – just dirty. Like I don’t respect that man, he dirty. … This dude be out there trying to hurt people man, I don’t rock with bruh like that.”

Green also broke down why he thinks Lonzo Ball’s $495 shoe is a bad business move.

“Even those that can afford that shoe don’t want to associate themselves with him,” Green said of LaVar Ball, father of the UCLA star who is expected to be a top pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. “So the audience you’re going after, you have already made dislike you.”

Green also had social media advice for New York Knicks star Kristaps Porizingis, who said his tweet about the Los Angeles Clippers was the product of him being hacked.

“You lyin’ bro. I had a worse episode than you did on social media, and the first thing I said was, ‘Aw man. I was hacked.’ ”
