If When my son wins the Masters, I often wonder what wise words I’ll impart as he walks off the 72nd hole the newly-minted champion. Hopefully it’ll be something wise and prophetic. Something that he’ll look back on in his old age and marvel at.
Eh. On second, thought, it’ll be straight out of Mike Thomas handbook. After his son walked off the final green at Quail Hollow Club with the victory secured, there was only one thing that came to mind:
“I told him, that’s f—ing unbelievable,” he said after his round.
Never a truer word spoken.
But in all seriousness, Justin’s victory was a special moment for the entire Thomas family. Justin’s father Mike is a PGA member, as is his father. They’re a golf family to the core, and now has a high prize to show for it.
“It’s really special, it’s really cool,” Mike Thomas said. To win is to so hard, and having my dad being a PGA member and still alive, I’m sure my phone is going to be blowing up when I turn it back on.
