Roger Federer perfectly responds to Lin-Manuel Miranda's U.S. Open tweet

Tennis and Broadway worlds collided on Thursday night after Roger Federer moved on to the third round of the U.S. Open after a five-set win over Mikhail Youzhny.

It started when Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator and star of Hamilton, tweeted that he felt stressed watching Federer. Less than 10 minutes later, Miranda wrote that he was logging off to put his son to sleep and get some rest himself.

It’s unfortunate that Miranda did go to sleep because Federer sent him a message after his second-round win.

That’s right. Federer quoted Miranda’s song from Hamilton.

However, if you’re a real fan of Federer and the musical, you might already know that he shouted out Hamilton during the U.S. Open back in 2015. Federer called it “absolutely fantastic,” and Hamilton’s Facebook page responded by thanking the tennis star and wishing him good luck in the tournament. Federer went on to lose to Novak Djokovic in the finals.

Federer also sent this tweet full of excellent emojis after replying to Miranda.

Keep up the good tweets, Federer.
